Based on my core brand values of empathy, diversity and sustainability, my personal styling and colour analysis services are client-centred and provide an inclusive and confidential space where all genders can boost their confidence through colour and clothes. Sustainability is also a cause close to my heart; through my personal styling services, I love introducing clients to pro-sustainability brands and practices.

I had a conversation with someone at the weekend about style 'rules' and criticisms that linger whether or not we really agree with them. Some images from yesterday's peaceful trans rights demo in York yesterday. Next stop Hull on 10th May.

It's taken me until the age of 57 to go to my first protest of any kind, but when you feel strongly about an issue and know that the consequences of the recent court ruling will literally be life-threatening to some, it's important to take a stance. Friends, family, clients and strangers in the trans (and wider queer) community this was for you and I'll keep on doing what I can 🩷🤍🩵.

Not saving it for best. I've been pottering with admin and marketing tasks today at home. I know the emotional impact colour and style can have so, just as I did working throughout the lockdowns, I dressed in the kind of outfit, complete with snake-print boots, that I'd wear if I was going somewhere.

I advertise that I work with all genders. In practice, working as a personal stylist and colour consultant, it's generally women who come to me. My business is very much inclusive of ALL women. In fact, I particularly welcome trans clients and deliberately chose a business name that includes the prefix 'trans'. On my website, I share stories from REAL women (two of whom also happen to be trans: Kelly's styling story and my blog post for International Women's Day).

So my definition of woman includes every woman who identifies as a woman, but wherever you sit on the gender spectrum, please know that you are acknowledged, respected and welcomed.

I've not got an outfit post for you, but I'm sharing a shade of yellow that last year I thought was a little pale for me but which I'm enjoying this year. I feel sad when people I meet say they can't wear yellow, or green, or pink etc. It's a case, however, of finding a yellow, or green, or pink etc that will suit them, so until that happens they're missing out on some beautiful shades of each colour that will suit them. And if it's not your best colour? There's no 'can't wear' in my book.
